What happens to what you send me
Short version: I only publish what you tell me to publish, and I never sell or share anything.
When you submit a story
- Your story, title and category are published if I approve them.
- The name you choose to display is published. Leave it blank and it says Anonymous.
- Your city is published only if you fill it in.
- Your email address is never published. It is there so I can reach you with a question about your own story.
If you tick "people may contact me"
Then — and only then — the specific contact details you type into that section appear on your story's page, so that someone who was moved by what you wrote can reach you and hear it first-hand. If you leave a field blank, nothing appears for it. If you never tick the box, none of it is ever shown.
Please think about this one before you tick it. Anything published on a public page can be seen and copied by anyone, including people you did not have in mind.
Changing your mind
Write to yisrael@hashgachapratit.org and I will take your story down, remove your contact details, or make it anonymous. No explanation needed.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not tell me who you are.
